Evolution can be described as an increasing ratio of Information over Matter. Applied to design, evolution has reached a relative lull in popular applications. As designers, we can lead the way to broadly and deeply applied Information to greatly reduce our use of materials and energy. Using market forces in tandem with human and ecological boundaries, we can solve many of our most pressing issues and bring humanity back to our position as a keystone species.
